Kodak Portra 400 35mm

Portra 400 is Kodak’s premier colour 35mm film.

EKTACOLOR PRO / PORTRA 400 is the world's sharpest and finest grain 400 speed colour negative film. It produces exceptional skin tones and colour saturation, and it allows photographers to adapt to a wide range of lighting conditions - from bright daylight to low light.

But wait, what is Ektacolor!?
Ektacolor is Portra!

After Eastman Kodak went bankrupt about 25 years ago, they handed global distribution of their still film products to a separate company called Kodak Alaris.

Now Eastman Kodak is selling its film directly, without the Alaris middleman.
The hiccup is that it seems they don’t have the naming rights to Portra, so now we have Ektacolor instead!

So Ektacolor is the exact same film, from the same factory in New York.
It just has a new box, a new name and a new cheaper price!

Ektacolor 160 = Portra 160
Ektacolor 400 = Portra 400
Ektacolor 800 = Portra 800

This is a great film and deservedly popular.
