Kodak Portra 800 35mm

Portra 800, the higher speed sister of Portra 400!

Portra 800 / EKTACOLOR PRO  800 film delivers all the advantages of a high-speed film along with finer grain, higher sharpness, and more natural skin tones and colour reproduction.

But wait, what is Ektacolor!?
Ektacolor is Portra!

After Eastman Kodak went bankrupt about 25 years ago, they handed global distribution of their still film products to a separate company called Kodak Alaris.

Now Eastman Kodak is selling its film directly, without the Alaris middleman.
The hiccup is that it seems they don’t have the naming rights to Portra, so now we have Ektacolor instead!

So Ektacolor is the exact same film, from the same factory in New York.
It just has a new box, a new name and a new cheaper price!

Ektacolor 160 = Portra 160
Ektacolor 400 = Portra 400
Ektacolor 800 = Portra 800
